Time for a hair cut!!

I still have not figured out where my daughter gets her stubborn side from, lol!! But she has figured out that mommy wants Addison to grow out her hair and this means we need bows and clips to keep her hair out of her face and she WILL NOT wear them!! I mean I have tried several types, I have tried telling her no, I have tried spanking her hand, NOTHING works, she will not keep them in her hair!! So I gave up the fight and got her hair cut. My brother and sister in law went along for the show but Addison seems to be like mommy and love getting her hair cut, so here are a few pictures that I found to be too funny. As you can see Joy gave Addison a sucker to keep her attention. xoxo.

The Byrd's help stimulate the economy!!

Well Denny, Branden, Addison and I went shopping this past Saturday in attempt to find the perfect swing set for our backyard. Branden has asked several times if we could get a jungle gym with monkey bars and a fort that he could play in and we know that Addison will love having a swing and play area also... so the search began. We started at Rainbow play systems on Rodney Parham well lets just say that they were a BIT out of our price range. They are looking to build play systems for schools or day cares, not 2 children. So we traveled on to our next location Watson's in NLR. Now I have seen years of advertisements for this facility but had never been so I was sceptical. Well lets just say that I was pleasantly surprised!! They had everything we could want and more!! They also had several play sets on sale including the one we ended up buying!! So as of Friday this week we will have a fabulous play system for the kiddos!! We can't wait!!

My cup runneth over.

I feel truly blessed today. I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with Addison and her being sick. She has been dealing with respiratory issues for over a month now, and last week the doctor told me that we were on the verge of having to put her in the hospital. They suggested taking a couple of days off from work, staying home with her and giving her medication (an inhaler) EVERY 4 hours. Thank goodness I have a job that allowed me to do this, because she is extremely better now. We have the last signs of a cough now, and actually may be able to go back to school later this week. I have never felt so out of control than I did when my little girl was sick, there is absolutely nothing I could do except hold her and pray that everything was going to get better. Well please keep us in your thoughts, and I am ready for spring now!! Here a few pictures I have taken lately of Addison the top one she would not look at the camera but I was trying to get her in her cute pj's and the bottom one was at school during her valentines party, the girl tore up some cheesy poofs!! xoxo.

Just to catch up on one year...

Ok I know that I can not possibly post all of the pictures that I took over the first year of lil' Addison life, but I wanted to post a couple of my favorites. Looking back it is amazing how quickly they grow. I miss those times of her just laying with me and cuddling. These are in no particular order but the top one with Addison & Branden was taken in our attempt to get our Christmas cards done, Jay took some great pictures of the kids until Addison had enough. The next three were also taken by Jay when Addison was 6 months old and these are still some of my favorite pictures of both of the kids. The next photo cracks me up because Addison is wearing her Razorback cheerleading outfit for a game day party we were going to, but you may notice she is holding tight to Ellie her elephant and the only symbol of my love of Alabama football that is allowed in the house. The next 2 are just some sweet random pictures that were taken. Now the picture of Addison and her daddy sleeping will always be one of my favorites because it just shows a typical morning with those two they love their nap time together. And the very last picture was on the day we celebrated Addison's christening, it was such a beautiful day, Brock Patterson the minister that married Denny and I, and my brother Heath performed the ceremony and I actually made it thru without crying!! => Hope you enjoy these as much as I did going down memory lane.

Still trying to figure this all out!!

I wanted to post a couple more pictures of Addison's party but for some reason it locked up, so lets try now!!

Better late than never...

The life of a busy mom has caused me to be one of the last of my friends to create a blog. Now anyone knows I never leave my home with out 2 things, my kids and my camera, so I have tons of pictures that I could post on here but I will try to keep it present day only, but I have to at least put a couple of our celebrations of Addison's first birthday. We had two parties, one with our families and one with our dear friends, both were great and Addison had a blast. Needless to say celebrating one month after Christmas we really did not need anymore toys, but she got tons. Denny, Branden and I decided that Addison needed a big girl toy chest which I hope to get around to staining before she goes to college but we will see!!
